We began its humble journey in 2015 as a small home store with a passion for handmade and upcycled products. Founded by Mary Lizy, an enthusiastic farmer and visionary, the seeds of our forest-farm were planted with the inception of Liz Pepper Gardens. The initial focus was on crafting unique, sustainable items, and our commitment to eco-friendly practices was evident from the start.

In the following years, the nursery propagation and preparations for Liz Pepper Gardens were underway, fostering a growing interest in sustainable farming. In 2018, a pivotal moment arrived when we delved into the world of mushroom farming, setting up a self-built store using locally procured sticks. This experiment marked a significant milestone in our journey, showcasing our dedication to innovative and sustainable agricultural practices.

The momentum continued as we expanded our horizons, transforming our store into a full-fledged art haven known as "The Attic Art Yard," led by Rishma Mariya Johnson, an integral part of our team. The amalgamation of artistic expression and agricultural innovation became the hallmark of our endeavors.

Today, the forest-farm is a collective craft and passion of our team. Mary Lizy, the founder, and farmer at Liz Pepper Gardens, anchors the agricultural pursuits, ensuring that every plant is nurtured with care. Athira Elssa Johnson takes the helm of the communication and media department, facilitating a bridge between our endeavors and the world.

Our team, consisting of dedicated individuals, contributes to the shared vision of creating a sustainable and harmonious environment. While the core team's details are shared gradually, their unwavering commitment to our cause remains the driving force behind our journey.

As we cultivate a variety of crops, including black peppers, chillies, purple yams, and sweet potatoes, our focus on sustainable practices remains unwavering. We embrace companion farming, integrating passion fruits into our ecosystem, and the results have been both fruitful and refreshing.

The forest-farm is not just a physical space but a living, breathing entity that evolves with each passing season. Our dedication to sustainability extends beyond farming – we engage in community initiatives, promote digital literacy, and actively participate in creating an age-friendly urban environment.
